I am running the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon in support of Back on My Feet NYC. As someone who has experienced the stress and pain of having no place to live in NYC, outrunning homelessness is a cause that is close to my heart.

If you haven’t seen it yet, definitely go check out the latest mural — by artist JR — at the Bowery Wall in New York City, on Houston and Bowery streets. I’ve been a fan of the French artist JR and his realistic renderings ever since I saw his Immigrants mural in Tribeca.

The inaugural Runstreet Daydream 5K Art Run & Festival presented by Clif Bar was a swimming success full of paint, glitter, smiles, tacos and miles. From sparkling unicorns to dogs in fairy costumes to onesie-clad runners, the costumed run waves were a hit! We loved bringing our vision of a day of fantasy, play, color, art, music and running to life, and were lucky to work with so many amazing NYC street artists in the process.

To kick off 2018, Runstreet teamed up with The Yoga Collective NYC for a colorful, interactive Resolution Art Run! Winding through the streets of Lower Manhattan, we hit amazing NYC street art - from the East Village down to First Street Green Art Park. 

Runstreet had the privilege of joining JMZ Walls in Brooklyn in an Art Run for Puerto Rico.

Runstreet was psyched to be a part of the NYC Marathon weekend thrills, with a Shakeout Art Run on the Lower East Side, hosted by Whole Foods Market Bowery location and co-sponsored by Clif Bar.

Each cheer washing over that inner echo "You're nothing." Each step getting me farther from that voice and closer to the truth. I was doing it, and the whole city of New York was behind me.

Alison's latest project is a 240-mile run to empower women everywhere.

On January 18, Alison and a team of women runners will start a 240-mile run from Harlem, New York City to Washington, DC to attend the Million Women March on Washington and raise $44,000 for Planned Parenthood.
