Art Runner Spotlight: Melissa Killion

Learn more about the beauty and inspiration that drives our Runstreet Art Runners in our Art Run Spotlight series.

First, an Instagram diva, inspiring runner and triathlete Melissa Killion. Melissa has been coming to our art runs since 2015 and has always brought a great eye for detail, passion for art and shared incredible photos from the art runs. Melissa always goes the extra mile to learn about the artists on our Art Runs and credits them in her posts. Melissa's determination in getting back up again after injuries and cheering others on along the way is truly inspiring.

Melissa sat down to talk about Runstreet Art Runs, how she began running with us, and what she's into outside of running:

"I have always had a great love for art. I went on my first run with Runstreet in 2015 and fell in love with the raw beauty of street art. I have a great love for running and combined with seeing so much art in the city is a perfect day to me!

I am a designer for custom Stairs and Railings for new commercial projects and homes. I love running, swimming and sleeping. I have been vegetarian for 17 years and eat a plant based diet with an addiction for cake frosting and pretzels."

Melissa is currently training for more half marathons and next year will be running the NYC Marathon for a second time.
