Runstreet LES Street Art Run Tours Amazing NYC Murals

Photos by Marques Jackson.

The latest Runstreet Street Art Run was a smashing success. Thanks to photographer Marques Jackson and all the runners who came out for the colorful art run past Lower East Side street art, Nolita murals and East Village art. Our guest of honor was Tiffiney Jamison, the Managing Director of Red Hook Art Project, the beneficiary of our run:). Tiffiney explained how Red Hook Art Project helps budding Brooklyn artists in underserved areas get into art schools and excel academically.

We began our 4-mile street art run at the beautiful Stanton Street Yoga in LES. Along the art-packed route, the Wolf Pack took in street art by world renowned artists like Shepard Fairey, Tristan Eaton and Claw Money, to name a few.

After the NYC street art run, everyone refueled with tasty snacks from runner and health food blogger Nicole D'Angelo of Fabulous Vegan Recipes. Our post-run swag bags included more running fuel, water bottles, wristbands, free yoga vouchers and clothing discounts from NYSportsMed, Brooklyn-based running clothing company OnlyAtoms, Evoke Healthy Foods and Crank Sports.

No street art run would be complete without the amazing photos from our runners. Thanks to everyone who posted their stunning street art pics using hashtag #nycstreetartrun. With all the creative shots, it was hard to pick a winner for the photo contest, but in the end, Marques chose Melissa's amazing shot of Claw Money's mural on Delancey Street. Congrats Melissa, who wins a Runstreet Street Art Run shirt, free photo with Marques and $100 off the Zero Gravity Treadmill from NYSportsMed.

Enjoy your running adventures, Team Runstreet, and stay tuned to our events to get in on the next NYC street art run!
