Warm your spirits and muscles with Runstreet Chicago at our annual 5K Holiday Art Run, this year to benefit Sarah’s Circle. This custom 3-mile route through Uptown features some of the neighborhood's newest street art, as well as Clifton Avenue - Uptown's own unique outdoor art gallery. All levels of runners are welcome to join us on this relaxed-paced (10 minute/mile) open course. We will make multiple stops along the way at street art for discussion and photography. The event will kick off and conclude at the art-minded Drink Happy Thoughts coffee shop and juice bar, where 8 oz. of free drip coffee will be provided, and 10% off of everything.
Half of all ticket proceeds will go to Sarah's Circle. Located in Chicago's Uptown community, Sarah's Circle is a nonprofit organization with a mission of serving women who are homeless or in need of a safe space. Since 1979, Sarah's Circle has provided support for thousands of women by aiding their growth in all aspects of wellness and helping each woman find her home.
Festive attire, ugly sweaters, and reindeer bells are all welcome and encouraged! Runstreet's local art expert, seasoned running team, and the feel-good vibes of Drink Happy Thoughts can't wait to kick off the Holiday season with you in Uptown!
Transport:
Metered and neighborhood street parking is available. Nearest public transport via Sheridan bus (151) to Sheridan / Montrose.
Restrooms:
Restrooms will be available on-site at Drink Happy Thoughts.
Bag Check:
A bag check will be offered. We recommend keeping valuables at home or with you on the run. Runstreet is not responsible for any items lost or stolen.
Refunds:
There will be no refunds but you can transfer your ticket if you cannot attend the event. Email marnie@runstreet.com to do so.
Weather
The event will be held in most weather unless there are dangerous conditions such as excessive ice, thunderstorms, etc. We will email all attendees about the rain date if we have to reschedule due to the weather.
